Thank you for another successful
Wrappng for a Cure!
It all started over 23 years ago when Raye Jerrard, a grandmother of a child
with Cystic Fibrosis came up with an idea to raise money for CF. She set up a
wrapping booth at the downtown Eaton's centre and called it "The Looney Wrap".
The tradition has continued every year.
In 2011 volunteers were wrapping gifts throughout the month of December in three
locations and we are very pleased to announce that we have raised over $40,000
towards cystic fibrosis research, programs and care.
Special thanks to our three host partners; Market Mall, North Hill Mall and
Zellers Chinook and to our celebrity volunteer Jann Arden and local sports
celebrity volunteers TJ Brodie and and Brendan Morrison of the Calgary Flames.
This annual campaign would not be possible without the generosity of donors,
customers and most of all, the hundreds of volunteers that give the most
precious gift of their time. Thank You!
Calgary Flames and volunteers at North Hill Centre December 9, 2011.
